Dr. Vats is a native of western Pennsylvania. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania
and completed her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Vats then completed her otolaryngology/head and neck surgery residency at Temple University and
a one year fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
She practiced in Tucson before relocating to Gilbert in 2009 to start Trinity ENT and Facial Aesthetics.
Dr. Vats is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology
and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
She is also a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery
and serves on the community board for Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.
Dr. Kumar is a native of Northwestern Pennsylvania. He completed his Bachelor of Science at The Pennsylvania State University and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery at Freeman Health System in Joplin, MO. Then, Dr. Kumar completed further sub speciality training in rhinology at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, MA. He joined Trinity ENT and Facial Aesthetics in June of 2017. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery as well as the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery.
Dr. Kumar is certified by the American Osteopathic Boards of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
Susan Schmidt is a Clinical Audiologist. She her Masters Degree in Audiology in 1999 from Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID. She went on to receive her Doctorate in Audiology in 2008 from A.T.Still University in Mesa, AZ.
Susan has worked with the physicians at Trinity ENT assisting with diagnostic testing since 2013. She specializes in balance disorders and performs diagnostic tests to serve patients in resolving their dizziness. More recently she has begun tinnitus (ringing in the ears) evaluations for those patients that are bothered by their tinnitus. She is prescribing new tinnitus sound therapies that are helping patients decrease or eliminate their tinnitus.
